Working Mastiff Registry is an independent, purpose-driven registry dedicated to preserving and promoting the mastiff as a powerful, capable, and functional working dog. Our mission is to ensure that mastiff breeds are bred, evaluated, and documented not just for appearance — but for health, temperament, structure, and most importantly, working ability.

We recognize all mastiff breeds, regardless of previous registration, and offer a transparent and structured registration system built to serve owners, breeders, and enthusiasts who believe in maintaining the original purpose and integrity of these majestic dogs.

At the heart of WMR is a commitment to functional breeding — grounded in ethical practices, detailed pedigree tracking, and data that supports long-term health and sustainability. Our pedigrees are more than lineage charts; they include real, useful information such as inbreeding calculations, health results, temperament assessments, and physical measurements. When submitted by the owner, DNA profiles can also be recorded for added credibility and clarity in breeding programs.

We believe that a true working mastiff should be sound in both body and mind — capable of performing tasks, confident in temperament, and free from exaggerated traits that limit movement, stability, or quality of life.
